It has real physiologically active properties and some medicinal effects but its potential as a medicine has been greatly exaggerated. This section will explore the real medical effects of cannabis and some effects that are possibly real but require more research. It will also look at both the false positive health claims and the false negative health claims. More importantly, can it be a potent placebo?
